Ridge has been practicing low-interventionist and natural winemaking since its inception in 1962. Native yeasts and spontaneous fermentation give their wines both elegance, complexity, and an incredible depth. Practices of transparency and honesty are reflected on the informative labels found on each and every bottle of Ridge wine.
The fruit for this Ridge cuvée is sourced from select Sonoma County plots, hand-harvested, crushed, then eased through primary and malolactic fermentation by native yeast at Monte Bello and Lytton Springs. The wine spends 10 months in American oak ( 5% new) prior to blending.
